Rose pillows – part 4

The fourth pillow was completed during a single evening.  Actually during an afternoon and an evening to be correct. Panna was  at her grandparents and my eyes were ready as well, so I spent the afternoon and the evening with the stitches. Here comes the result:

The fifth cushion was made more quickly than the other with 3 threads, even though  I know there is no connection to the number of threads and the time spent  stitching.

On the first evening I was ready with  half of the rose:

On the second evening I  completed the rose:

This was the time  when I started to recognize the difference between the two ways of stitching. I prefer the double threads version while my husband prefers the triple threads one with the better contrast.

And now I will show you the last cushion’s pictures as well. I took two photos  of this.  The first was taken when only the cross stitches were ready and the second was taken after finishing the flower with backstitches.

Here is  the final one:

Now I have to wash and iron them before sewing them to the pillow shape.

How do you like the versions I have showed you up till now? Do you also  play with the number of threads?  Tell me your story!
