I showed new photos on my webpage in the beginning of summer. Even though the summer went so quick and I had not too much time to spend on stitching, I have a couple of things to put into my harvest basket. I hope you can find somesome needlework that you like in this photo.
The number of cross stitched pictures increased with the three small duck DMC kits. The smallest one was really a favourite in my family. When I bought them, my husband said I have to stitch the blanket one in any case since it is so cute like Panna. But since then Panna has grown a bit and she does not need the blanket for sleeping, but the similarity was really strong at that time. And I chose two additional duck kits to have a series. I believe they are a funny group, stitched and framed together.
We were also visiting a newborn baby… of course I have got some stitched surprises for the new baby. I hope they were happy with these towels. These photos have been uploaded of the group of towels.
I received a lot of requests to show my quilts that were presented at the exhibitions. So it is time now to upload these patchworks into their final groups. I have added the orange-brown flowers and the variation for the same kitchen theme series – that were made in three colors and with three techniqes. The red was made with the conventional? method, the blue with the threads and the flowers were stitched onto the green to look like pillows . You can see more photos relating to each of the quilts in their posts.
I have also uploaded a picture of a big quilt bed cover to the webpage. It was made a long time ago, but somehow it was not shown on the webpage yet.
And what else has happened since the beginning of this summer? My needlework pieces were shown in several exhibitions. The photos I took of these exhibitions I shared with you, too, on the page of Exhibitions. You can find them at the following links: Hungarian Craftsmanship 2008, Cross Stitch Exhibition of 2008 and the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham 2008.
In case you have not visited my blog recently it is useful to look back on posts since I learnt a new embroidery method during my UK stay last month and I wrote a summary of it. As I stitched my cross stitched projects I also shared these photos and comments on them also in several posts. You can see how these kits came to life. I have also shared “You made these” photos, since I received several relating to the stars and others. I believe that all photo senders like to receive some good comments. ;)
I have uploaded four new tutorials in the “How to make?” section that are relating to one another. They are the tutorials of my autumn quilt pillows. If you like them, you can sew them easily and they can be a nice decoration for your home.
If you read all of the mentioned topics, your comments are more than welcome. If you wish you can also share your summer tasks with us.
